Cancer registrars come from a variety of backgrounds, work and educational. Some are health information management professionals, nurses, radiation therapists, and many, many more.
Continuing education is needed to maintain accreditation with a Certified Tumor Registrar® (CTR) credential from NCRA as well as to stay current with all the many updates and coding changes in the field.
